Ask Anything In Jesus’ Name

by | A Verse A Day

“If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”

(John 14:14 NASB)

Jesus tells us to ask anything in His name and He will do it. Can that actually be true? Jesus is the name by which we get an audience with God, we are saved in that name, and prayers are answered in Jesus’ name.

The use of the name of Jesus isn’t a magic wand we wave. The name of Jesus is a relational building block that has been given to those who have faith to use it. It’s not the amount of faith we have that’s important. It’s where we place it that counts. Put your faith in the Word of God. Put your faith in the name of Jesus.

The Message Bible says: “Whatever you request in this way, I’ll do.”

Do you have walls that are too high to climb? Do you have needs that are impossible for you to meet? Are there obstacles in your path you have tried to move but they are still there? Jesus has authorized you to use His name. Call out. Ask Him what you will and watch Him do it.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am authorized to use the name of Jesus is my prayers and daily Christian living. Today I will do my part and ask in Jesus’ name.
