Healed In Jesus’ Name

by | A Verse A Day

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

(Acts 3:6)

Peter watched Jesus heal the crippled and give sight to the blind, and work many miraculous cures for three years. Then as Jesus ascended to heaven, He told them to go preach the gospel, heal the sick, and casts out demons in His name. So Peter did it. This crippled man was completely made whole that very day.

The Message Bible says: “Peter said, ‘I don’t have a nickel to my name, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!'”

Can you see that the name of Jesus is to affect and touch every area of your Christian life? You are justified and qualified in His name. Through us God can love people, make them well, and bring them to eternal life if we go and if we speak in Jesus’ name. Through you God can destroy His enemy’s works, heal the maladies of His saints, and reach mankind, the object of His love.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I have the name of Jesus to use to bring God’s love to the ones He loves today.
