Justified Heirs

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“So that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

(Titus 3:7 NASB)

To be justified means to be declared righteous by God, the Supreme Being of the universe. When He says we are right with Him because of grace, then we are right with Him and no one can prove differently. His sway upon our lives has convinced us that what He says about us is true and of highest priority in our life process.

The Message Bible says: “God’s gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there’s more life to come—an eternity of life!”

We are made heirs according the confidence we have that He has given us eternal Life. Being an heir means we are in His will. We belong in His family and we qualify for the family business and the family treasure. Our goal needs to be that we are conformed to our Father God’s divine will now, and not just later. We are one with God in purpose, in thought, and in action. Let’s walk that way.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Jesus has made me just as if I had never sinned by His grace. I have eternal life and I’m an heir in God’s family.
