No Darkness In Him

by | A Verse A Day

“This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.”

(1 John 1:5)

Jesus tells us that God is light and He doesn’t have any darkness in Him at all. What could that mean when we face difficult situations in our lives? God is Light. God is good. God is love. It means that God isn’t the one who gives us the troubles. He’s the One we can trust to deliver us from all evil.

The Message Bible says: “This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.”

No trace of darkness is in Him. Wow, that means no sin, no sickness, no condemnation, no distain, no paybacks or getting even is in Him. No bringing up the past, no hidden agendas and no hurtful motives are in Him. Jesus is the lover of our souls and has nothing but light and illumination for us. God is so good to us that we can fully trust Him.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

God is light to me. There is no darkness in Him and none sent from Him. I will trust Him today.
