Determine What You Believe

by | A Verse A Day

Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

(2 John 1:9 NASB)

Submission to the doctrines of Christ may not be a popular topic but it is an important one. If you embrace steadfastly what you are taught from the Word of God, both the Father and the Son will be with you.

The Message Bible says: Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son.

Some keep changing what they believe and teach about Jesus and bring confusion on themselves and anyone who listens to them. Anyone transgressing and not abiding in the teaching of the Word does not have the resources by which God can work in their life. Determine today that you believe the Bible to be the best way to order your life and your lifestyle.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I abide in the teaching of Christ and I put the Word first place in my life.
