Once And For All

by | A Verse A Day

By the which will [God?s will] we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

(Heb. 10:10 KJV)

What does this mean? It means that because Jesus Christ was obedient to God?s will for His life, the offering of His body is a substitute for ours. He did what God wanted Him to do. God declared His offering acceptable and as a result we are all decontaminated from sin as a result. We are purified and set apart from the world for God’s use.

The Message Bible says: God’s way – by which we are made fit for God by the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus.

Because Jesus was submitted to His Father’s will, all our sin issues are solved. The offering of His own body was made once and for all. Once and for all; wow, that means we don?t have to pay for our sins or try to do something to make up for them. Jesus did it all. He did it once. He did it for all.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am sanctified, set apart for God, by the offering of Jesus’ body. It solved my sin problems once and for all.

Dead Yet Alive

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. (2 Tim. 2:11 KJV) This verse speaks of a great Bible principle called solidarity. It means that one person stands in the place of a whole group of people. Whatever happens to the one...
